Interestingly, there has been a jewellery store in the exact same place as Nettletons Jewellers for 148 years. When Eric Nettleton bought the shop, he took it upon himself to carry on this Jewellery tradition. Mr Nettleton began by revamping, what a Jewellery and Tobacconist shop called 'Catlows Jewellers and Tobacconist'. Nettletons Jewellers underwent a major, cosmetic revamp in 1997 to become the shop that we know and love today.

Mr Nettletons values, and his passion for all things jewellery was embed within the family. With his encouragement, his son Matthew Nettleton, joined the trade straight after from school in 1978. Fast forward to 2003 and it was the turn for a new generation to join the family business, Mr Nettleton’s grandson and Matthew Nettleton's nephew, Joe Cuningham. Matthew Nettleton is an avid professional jeweller and took over the running of Nettletons Jewellers from his father in 1997. continuing on the family tradition, Matthew is passionate about his business and truly values each and every customer. Over the years, Matthew has acquired numerous qualifications enabling him to become the professional goldsmith he is today.
The Goldsmith talent doesn’t stop there as Joe Cuningham has also attained various skills at the workbench. This means that Nettletons Jewellers has not one, but two goldsmiths on site to tend to your needs. In all, Nettletons Jewellers has an astounding 125 years of combined jewellery knowledge and experience shared throughout the family. We're sure you can imagine the different amount of Jewellery trends that will have been witnessed over so many years!
