The first stage of your watch restoration will be to assess the work that is required to get your timepiece up and running, our watch specialist will disassemble your watch and thoroughly test and inspect your watch both inside and out.
Generally a watch restoration works to restore the visual aspect of your watch and can include things such as, watch cleaning and replacement bracelet, links or strap and a watch case refurbishment/polishing.
However should your watch require work that affects the movement within your watch such as, a replacement crown, replacement dial or replacement hands the watch specialist will then need to carry out a more rigorous restoration. To do this we will service the movement of your timepiece, ensuring it falls within the required standards.
We offer a 12 month warranty on the work that we carry out within your restoration.
Your watch will undergo a thorough ultrasonic clean, whereby your bracelet is removed; the vibration of the plates helps to remove any dirt that an ordinary clean may miss. We are able to offer a watch cleaning service without needing to have your watch fully restored.
This is where you will notice the most visible changes within your watch, our watch polishing service removes deep scratches and marks on your case and bracelet; we are able to remove scratches from both polished and brushed finished watches. Our watch specialist will reapply the exact finish where necessary. For example, if your watch has a polished and brushed finished case and bracelet, these finishes will be re applied where necessary.
Additionally we are able to offer a watch polishing service without the need to have your watch fully restored, for further information please contact us in store where one of our experts will be able to advise you further.
We will always recommend a replacement glass if your glass is badly damaged, this is to help protect the interior movement and maintain the strength and water resistance of your glass. Simply polishing and removing marks and scratches could weaken your glass and cause you more serious problems in the near future.
We are able to carry out glass replacements without you watch having a full restoration; this is on the basis that your movement still falls within the required tolerances. If you watch is badly damaged your movement may require a service, we will advise you of this before we carry out any restoration work.
